Meet Minal

Hi, I am Minal Phanse, an Indian immigrant who settled in the USA for over 23 years.

 

From what I remember, my physiology has been overweight since childhood, and I always tend to put on weight. Throughout my life, I have struggled with it. I tried many diets, but each time diet worked for me some and when I stopped following it, the weight came back in multiples. After my pregnancy, my physiology got even worse.

As a result, I felt an inferiority complex and missed out on wearing the clothes I wanted to wear. I used to feel shy to be in public during my teens. Going on Indian visits was a nightmare for me as I was fearful about the comments I could receive from my relatives and friends. Likewise whether under stress, or in pleasure, during vacations, India visits, parent visits to the USA, season changes like wintertime, even looking at food, and many such scenarios I was always prone to gaining weight.

As I entered in the pre menopause and slowly it started affecting my health and my annual exam readings were off track. I started worrying about my family’s health.

​​

That’s when I started learning about nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle flaws.

​

I was totally focused and immersed in a healthy weight loss process. I had to climb a mountain but finally, the day arrived when saw a perfect number on the weighing scale, I was 55 pounds less that day than where I started. I take pride in successfully achieving weight loss during the perimenopause phase, a period commonly associated with weight gain.

​

Changes in diet and regular exercise even made changes in my family’s health. Together as a family, we lost 140 pounds. My teenager is now more confident and vibrant.

After being in pain for almost my entire life, I found the secret ingredient of health in my 40s. Recognizing that weight loss is achievable even during the menopause phase, I made the decision to assist women who may feel apprehensive about their health during this transitional period.

My mission is to support women who are facing challenges in discovering the keys to their optimal health and well-being.
